Designed for table-top use - the slim and compact design is perfect for small flats/bedsits, caravans, boats and offices. Fitted with standard 3 pin UK plug (for mains electricity). Only the pan is heated - the ceramic plate will get hot, but only from residual heat from the pan. Removing the pan or turning off the heat allows the plate to cool quickly. Pans heat very quickly and higher than normal temperatures can be reached. Changing from a fast boil to a gentle simmer happens at the touch of a button. There are 7 selectable temperatures (120°C to 240°C) and also precision control of cooking time. Energy savings compared to conventional hobs can be in the region of 40% to 70%, and it is also space efficient - the induction hob will fit into an area of 34cm x 42cm.
